In the world, there are many types of heating systems used to provide heat at home. The main purpose of all heating devices is to use heat energy from a fuel source and transfer it to living rooms to maintain a comfortable ambient temperature.

  Here is a brief overview of the most polar types of heating systems.

1. Forced air heating and cooling.

  In this form, an oven (boiler) with a fan is used which moves heated air to various premises of the house through a network of channels. They can work on gas, fuel oil, and electrical power. Advantages of this type: air filtration for the removal of dust and allergens, the presence of a humidifier, inexpensive price, combining heating with cooling. Disadvantages: ducts are needed and occupy space in the walls, a loud fan, allergens can spread, if there is no filter, fast wear of blowers.

2. Ordinary furnace.

  This type of heating is obsolete and old-fashioned. Works on solid fuel or gas. The principle of operation is based on the heating of air, which then rises in different rooms through the channels. The cold air returns to the furnace heat exchanger through a system of cold air ducts. Advantages: no moving parts, durability, reliability, no additional maintenance. Disadvantages: inefficient air filtration, poor energy efficiency, slow temperature control.

3. Fireplace.

  The principle of operation relies on the air supplied from the room in the fireplace for burning and dilution. Advantages: the presence of heat near the fireplace and chimney, beautiful decor. Disadvantages: high heat loss, carbon monoxide.

4. Heat floor.

  The principle of operation: the heating of the floor arises due to the distribution of hot water tubes mounted under the floor, which operate from the mains. Advantages: uniform heating. Disadvantages: slow heating rate, price, complicated installation.

5. Autonomous heating (boiler).

  The pipes have a closed loop, where the water circulates from the boiler to the batteries and from the batteries to the boiler. Advantages: energy efficiency, comfortable heating. Disadvantages: Unattractive, take up a lot of space, do not combine with air conditioning.

6. Heat pumps.

  They work at the expense of the electric system on the principle of air conditioner. Advantages: both heating and cooling, high energy efficiency, separate wall blocks allow precise control of each room, silence of fans, no channels are required. Disadvantages: high prices, mostly suitable only for temperate climate.

7. Radiator batteries instead of baseboards.

  One of the newest types of heating systems. Works on the principle of a heated boiler of water that goes through a pipeline which is installed along the walls. The heating is due to convection. Advantages: no fans and blowers, high energy efficiency, precise temperature control, durability. Disadvantages: impediments to the placement of furniture, slow heating, the impossibility of combining with air conditioning systems.

8. Solar stations or windmills.

  The principle of operation is based on renewable energy sources. Advantages: there is no СО2, eternal energy source, green tariff, possibility of electric heating. Disadvantages: the price, periodicity of the sun or wind.
